What
YOU DON’T “NO” CAN HURT YOU
We need balance in our lives
and yet we find ourselves saying “Yes” to too much. We say “Yes”, to our
bosses or to our business, to our children, to our parents, to our church, to
our friends, to needy relatives, to husbands, to volunteering, to phone
solicitations, etc.
This program will help us look at the ways we can put balance back into our
lives and how we stress ourselves needlessly in the pursuit of giving to others.
It is not a call to behaving selfishly, but more a call to a caring approach to
“self”. Taking a look at our “no-ability” can be an informative experience
resulting in more time and energy for what is truly important in our lives and
the lives of those we care about.
FINDING YOUR IDEAL MATE
ON THE INTERNET
Most singles stay solo because they’re waiting for love to find them, looking in
the wrong places, or settling for “better-than-nothing” relationships. The
Internet can be a valuable tool for finding an ideal mate. This workshop
will cover the following:
• identify your hidden fears of Internet searching
• determine what you really want in a mate
• learn to accurately describe yourself---discover your special qualities
and values
• learn to “delete” inappropriate candidates, discover clues in what they
write
• when and how to set up a safe meeting.
DIVORCE AND SPIRITUAL GROWTH
This workshop will explore areas of growth available to us even in the midst of
the pain and confusion of divorce. We will examine the ritual of
separation, the need for support networks, the grieving process and learning to
trust again. We will look at relationships from the view of spiritual
partnership and why we may subconsciously choose personal stagnation or growth
at a given time in our lives. We will also explore the opportunities for
development that living on our own without a spouse can produce. If you
are currently going through or anticipating a divorce or separation, or have
experienced one in the past and need to “get on with your life,” this workshop
can be an important step in the right direction.
IT’S NEVER TOO LATE TO CREATE!:
A WORKSHOP FOR WOMEN IN THE SECOND HALF OF THEIR LIVES
Each one of us has an undiscovered creative part, a divine creative essence,
designed to enhance our longevity if we only allow for it. There are
certain blocks that get in the way of our creativity.
This workshop is based on the chapter from Dr.
Blair's recent book, The Next Fifty Years: A Guide for Women at Midlife,
entitled, "Our Creativity". Using guided imagery and writing exercises,
participants will explore the role creativity plays in longevity.
WOMEN
CALLING: RENAMING, RECLAIMING AND ENVISIONING THE FUTURE
Is your life on hold and your creative energy stifled? Have you experienced the
loss of a relationship and want to get on with your life? Are you meant for
“something greater” and have trouble visualizing what that is? Have you
begun to doubt your ability to make appropriate decisions? Are you stuck in your
job or career?
This one-day intensive workshop will help you heal your fear of the future and
help you visualize what’s ahead. During the day we will examine:
• the patterns that keep us stuck in destructive, uncreative thinking
• how to avoid inappropriate relationships and how our inner relationship
with “self” effects our success
• using an “Envisioning the Future” visualization, we will also look at a
future filled with self awareness, self esteem and successful work and love
relationships
